No, I o-ring the block that is very important under high boost. The turbo is a gt 42 and that is a new tial 60mm wastegate.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooo the suspense is killing me!!!

Great setup on the car johnny, I never got to congratulate you on the great swap. For awhile I wondered if it was possible with an H22. I like to see how the car looks now

I made the dyno on sat but I had serious engine touble. The crank pulley bolt back it way out and the crank came lose during a pull. It snap the crank snout and the time belt came loose and bent some vavles. I have not taken the motor apart to see if there any more damage. will kept posted.

when the timing belt breaks, and the pistons hit the valves, it's usually never minimal damage.

good luck johnny you'll get it right again.

    Interference motor

Anyhow, if you have a leak down tester. Do a leak down test before pulling the head. That will let ya know what is going on. Pretty sure you know what & how to test for valves.

Yeah I did a quick leak down test and that motor is a interference motor all the way.

I will work day and night to make it to epping,nh next weeken. I will be burning the candle at both ends. I have a crank at the machine shop should be done on monday. Will do the bearing on tues and then order them on wed. Will talk to my connect on mon for valves and hopefully have the head back for the weeken. I hope to have the motor done by the beginning of next week and make the dyno at the end of the week and go to the track with no seat time and have fun. Will keep posted.

    Re: h22 in a 3g

i don't know if you've heard of this but the H and B series motors' timing belts flap like a mofo at high rpm's and if it skips a tooth or snaps your fucked.

    check out www.vibrantperformance.com

they make H series and B series tensioners that go where the stock PS pump used to be, should solve all your problems with that.

    good luck

I wish it just jumped teeth, but the pulley came loose and snapped the snout of the crank and I am going to look into one of those tensioners
