So I was surfing honda.co.jp and found some interesting 2gee pages.
For the first time EVER, is a pic of a digital dash actually in a 2g. Just thought it was interesting. I wish that somebody on the site knew Japanese. Goddamn I bet that Honda's Japanese website has ASSLOADS of information that we'd never otherwise know...

I get the distinct feeling that this talks about the digital vs analog gauges.

lol the last pic looks like a trip computer or some navigator thing. this 2g poolude we wrecked had one that looked like that and that was what it was calld. they 2g dash actually looks quite good

and those seatbelt thingees look the same as the ones my car has lol

Obviously I've been blundering around it for a while with the Google & bablefish website translation mangled language, but there's lots of information there to be found, with plenty of their major press-release information hyping the technical advances they had made for new models (how they developed self-leveling suspension for the 2nd gen & revised the action of the speed-sensitive power steering, options of full climate-control air-con).
I stumbled across the Design aims for the 2nd gen, some design sketches, cutaways & technical illustrations.
Even year by year production tallys for the 1st gen Accord.

1st & 3rd gen are there as well though there's little about the sometimes major mid-model revisions they made.

Good luck! I've been trying to get my collection of JDM parts for my car for a long time. It's not easy. In fact, I'm thinking about learning Japanese so that I can call overseas and negotiate sales of parts. Then I can be the JDM rep.

My first car was a 2G with self levelling suspension and that trip computer. Pity I could only get it to turn on once and the suspension was screwed :P There was actually a switch that adjusted the suspension but it seemed to have no effect.

Then it started blowing blue smoke and the rest of the oil leaked out. Next car was a mint 3G 2.0Si which I actually looked after.
