    Oil Change/Air Filter Replacement

I just changed my oil and air filter. I dont think the air filter had ever been replaced, and was starving my car. Now that I have both replaced, I notice how major the difference in performance is.

Oh yea a dirty air filter can really hurt performance.

and get some carb cleaner and clean that carb

Fuel filters are like night and day difference! Go for it.

Spark plugs and wires are the same! I say go for that too. Once you get it all tuned up, it will be a pretty quick little car.

Take off the air filter cover then take off the little metal screen and spray the hell out of the inside of the carb

Take off the cover to the air filter, take the air filter out. See the round brassy screen? Spray the carb cleaner like a mofo down there with someone inside the car revving it like a mofo. I say use the entire can. That's what I did! You'll see a lot of black smoke come out of the exhaust.

If you have A/C, get rid of it, unless you absolutely cannot. I have driven same year, same model, same mileage 3g, one with A/C (friends) and one without (mine) and mine had much more acceleration.

All I have to say is if you start adding performance products stay away from pacesetter.

The compressor is about 50 pounds

Anything added onto the engine, being as it only has 98hp, is going to be significant. The entire A/C system is close to 60lbs. That's pretty significant.
