how much hp

about how much hp and torque does my 87 lxi have. no mods. all stock. half way dirty engine. (basically the same post as staticpat, only for an lxi.

i think 86-89 lxi's have 120hp stock but my engine is kinda dirty and stuff to so i dont think i have the full power of the horses in the engine

hmm...120. thats actually a little better than i thought. i am almost positive i don't have that though cause it doesn't move like my civic ex with about 130 hp. maybe 131. it feels more like i have about 110 or 105. pretty slow.

do a tune up to the car and you'll restore the lost power !

wires , spark plugs, cap , rotor , pcv valve , fuel filters , oil filter and engine and tranny oil !and adjust the ignition timing !

If I remeber correctly, the 87 lxi had 110hp. The 88 and 89 lx-i has 120hp.

Yes yes the 86-87 LXI has 110HP. In addition to higher compression the 88-89 car's also got a dual stage intake manifold.
I do not remember the torque figure.
