Re: Project: X

Putting the 4g subframe in the 3g for H22 swap possibilities, or going to run the F motor?? If you've already got a B18, I guess I'm not sure where you are going with this?

Re: Project: X

i have a 5spd from a 90 lx.. i think it sorta has shorter gears than the later models due to less power full engine... i cant imaging building this car up and having it auto.. i know one thing i'm gonna have fun with, and thats the cable<->hydro clutch thingy...

i'm pretty sure i have everything to make this work... unless the motor doesn't run. cough... it has 485,xxx k's ... i popped a battery in it.. and jumped it with a screwdriver... it cranked over just fine... sounded like a normal honda engine... but it remains to be seen what comes out the tailpipe.

Re: Project: X

more progress on the 4g clip...

^^^^ - this is about what i need to start on the 3g tomorrow once i split the engine from the transmission and put the front suspension together so i can roll it around.

now this is going to sound kinda stupid... but i didn't break loose the cv axle nuts before taking this thing apart... anyone have any ideas on how i can do that now? lol I'm sure i will think of something.. but if anyone has a easier solution than me putting a tire on the hub and putting my truck on it to break it loose... let me know.....

Yeah, It's called the IR 2135Ti.. Was my favorite tool, now RIP after I threw mine into a concrete floor. Not going to get into that though.

I can't believe you're going through all this work. Wow. I would have just busted out the mig and the plasma cutter and made the stock 3g clip accomodate whatever.

Re: Project: X

since you've gone this far, you should stick the sub frame into the back of the car, and put the motor in there :P

Re: Project: X

did some more work today... didn't get much accomplished because i had a shitload of dental work done today(3x scale cleaning with freeze, wisdom tooth yanked)..

but never the less i got some picks... even got the 3g moved out of its spot

^^^ - theres a little pin in the crank, its there for the tq converter plate... but needs to be gone for the mt flywheel... any simple way of pullin this little guy?
i tryed with pliers, sidecutters, channel locks, vice grips, and it wont budge.. startin to think i'm going to have to grind it off.. any ideas?

^^^ - did a walk around the car... still cant believe how little rust it has for sitting for so long... it feels good to see it moved and so happy to be working on it again.
