pics, vids coming, it drives pretty good.. it doesn't really appear to be to much louder than any other car with a huge exhaust. had to make some adjustments to a couple of the disk brake shields as they would start to rub going around left corners hard. also had to re-enforce one the shifter linkages as i bent one of the extension rods to the cables from shifting it hard after launching(gears 1->2). the rod is only 6m thread(10mm bolt) and over a foot long it gets flimsy. so i welded some 1/2" flat bar to that to make it stronger.

if today after work proves to be nice weather, i promis i will try to bring'r out and get some vid after work.

found another bug, fuel cell filler neck has a tiny leak when its full, it takes about 20 bucks to fill. there was about 4 poeple that came out of the service station to see what i have done cuz of how the guy was filling the tank lol. all were pretty much like holyshit...

if someone hooked me up with one for a good deal.. i'd do just about anything to make it fit lol. it would have to be a type-s 6spd lsd to be worth my while haha.

Man that is awesome how it is coming along. I bet people can't figure out WTF is going on when you fill that tank in the back! Huh? He's putting gas in the trunk?!

Hey any chance you wanna drive that beast to Portland for the Meet on the 20th of next month?! It's only like a 6-8 hour drive.

No no John, even better. He fills the tank by lifting the 'hood' up front.

Wasn't the fuel cell where the engine used to be, up front?

    Re: Project X: RWD Accord

got my half ass weight readings at the scale while i was out checking the speedo againts a gps to see if it was accurate and it is to 1-2k's

    front 550kg - 1190lb
    rear 660kg - 1455lb
    car 1190kg - 2623lb
if i did the conversion right its about 45f-55r weight distribution, which sits well in my 40-60 goal.

stock lxi hatch 2641lb (according to autos.msn.com)

i was hoping to stay under 2600 but this will do.. i'm sure i will save some more weight when i goto put in my yonaka seats and lose the ole heater core for an electric one.

Your weight distribution is better than I would have thought. Very nice.

    Looking good!

    Re: Project X: RWD Accord

ya i had some fun with it today headin up to the bosses place today for a late night @ work, unfortunatly i didnt have my cam with me so i didnt get any video rippin that up... there are a couple of not so sharp 180 turns while going up that mountain, i managed to get the ass out @ about 60k'ish and it hooks up fast when you let off the gas. i think it will make a decent drifter once i find some spare tires to burn off. i really really need to find out which dust shield is rubbing, that sound is f'n anoying when it goes around hard left corners

other than that, my launches did show somthing today that the clutch is startin to go on its way out... so i think its time to get an aftermarket one of those and if i'm going to do that, then at the same time i'm gonna find me one of those quaif lsd.

this thursday is autocross. i have a half ass vid cam so i will bring someone with me to get some vid of it on the track for sure as it will be its first time out.
